Manly Cobblers Story

We are not looking to reinvent industries. but merely re-establish old ones

Established in 2012, Manly Cobblers has realised a dream for proprietor Nick Pascuzzo to establish himself as a reputable Cobbler in what is now becoming a “dying art”.

Boasting 26 years industry experience and a highly skilled and qualified Shoemaker by trade, Nick learned his trade from just 14 years of age from an old master Cobbler “calzolaio” from Italy, whom he worked for 20 years.

Traditional Craftsmanship.

Traditional Service.

Embodies our philosophy at Manly Cobblers. In a world of growing monopolies, we strive to bring the old values back to business. Whilst there is a perception of living in a throwaway society, there is such a current focus on sustainability, Manly Cobblers has an important role to play, and we are in the enviable position of being an old trade which provides traditional services yet concurrently in the midst of an exciting digital age enjoying the tools and means to spread our message.

Since opening it’s doors in 2012, Manly Cobblers has evolved by constantly broadening it’s service and product offerings. Proudly innovating Sydney’s Northern Beaches first shoe repair delivery service, we remain committed to re-establish the service of bygone eras.

How It All Began

So how does one become a Cobbler? We get asked this question quite a bit and the answer may surprise. Whilst the Cobbler trade is one often passed down through the generations, Nick is actually a first generation Cobbler.

Born in Long Island New York, the US native migrated out to Australia as a young boy and grew up on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.

At just 14 years of age, Nick unintentionally fell into the trade whilst still at school. An old family friend who was a master shoemaker “calzolaio” took Nick on board and taught him the trade. What began as a part time job turned into a career passion. As Nick says “I am lucky enough 26 years later, to be helping keep this fine trade going”.

The rest is history.
